Cepstar is a good oral broad spectrum antibiotic for use in pets. These antibacterial tablets are highly palatable, hence also called yum tabs or yummy tabs.

Indications/Uses
- Bacterial skin infection- Staphylococcus infection,
- Urinary tract infection,
- Hot spot on the skin,
- Respiratory tract infection,
- In wound and abscesses
Directions for use:
- Dogs:- 22-30mg/kg body weight 8-12 hourly twice or thrice a day for 7-10 days
- Cats:- 22-30mg/kg body weight 8 hourly
- Can be given directly or mixed with food.
- Usual dosage is 30 mg per kg body weight for 15days.
- Follow prescribing veterinarian’s guidance closely on dosage.
- Complete entire dosage for the entire duration prescribed by veterinarian or resistance may develop against cephalexin.
